Forgive Frequently

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
― Mahatma Gandhi, All Men are Brothers

There it is again that word – FORGIVENESS.

We do hear it all the time – this is true. What does it actually mean to you?

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.” ― Steve Maraboli Click To Tweet

For me forgiveness is a daily process.  It is a process that sets us free from holding the burdens of judgement and grudges about another person or indeed ourselves.

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.”
― Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience

When we are ready to forgive, it actually has nothing to do with any other person or the situation itself.  It does not mean that we condone any behaviours – It is all about our own freedom and inner peace.

It is the process of letting go and releasing ourselves of the emotional hurts and pain, a process that enables you to put the heavy burdens down and release yourself to that sense of peace and freedom.

To start try with smaller things that feel relatively easy to forgive and then consciously make the decision let go of more and more each day.
